All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 7.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in New Jersey. Professionals seeking continuing education credits in other states may be able to claim the hours earned from this course; please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

The American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System has approved this course for 7.0 HSW LUs (Sponsor No. J885). Only full participation is reportable to the AIA/CES.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the webinar for those who attend the entire course and score a minimum 80% on the quiz that follows the course (multiple attempts allowed).

Milton Gregory "Greg" Grew, AIA
Architect - Building Official - Codes ConsultantMr. Grew is licensed as an architect in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. He is also licensed as a building official in Connecticut. For ten years, Mr. Grew was the chief building official for the Town of East Hartford. Since 1989 he has been owner of his own architectural design practice working extensively in the residential, commercial, and institutional building sectors. With his expertise in codes, he has also maintained a practice as codes consultant to other architects, engineers, contractors, building owners, and municipalities. Mr. Grew has served on the AIA national Codes & Standards Committee and various committees of the International Code Council and ASTM International.

Course Description: This seven-hour course explores the purpose, development and concepts of the New Jersey Rehabilitation Code before closely analyzing several code provisions and standards, such as those related to flood-resistant construction, repairs, renovations, alterations, materials and methods. The course will also discuss the basic and supplemental requirements of each occupancy group classification.

Learners will be able to discuss the development, terms and scope of the New Jersey Rehabilitation Subcode and determine applicability.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to explain compliance standards for flood-resistant construction for rehabilitation and renovation projects.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to reference and comply with compliance standards for building material and construction methods.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to examine the basic and supplemental requirements of each occupancy group and explore code provisions for additions, historic buildings and changes of use.
