All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 2.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 2.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Leah Riley

Ms. Riley has over 26 years of experience in interpreting and providing consulting services and has previously conducted seminars and workshops related to accessibility and building code compliance. She has gained recognition as an expert in Accessibility Code interpretation through her years of service, including her position at the City of Chicago Mayor’s Office for Peoples with Disabilities.  Ms. Riley is an ICC Accessibility Inspector/Examiner and her knowledge includes the Americans with Disabilities Act, the International Building Code and ANSI A117.1, 2003 and 2009 Standards, the Federal Fair Housing Amendments Act, Section 504 and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Code as well as multiple state and local building and accessibility codes.  She conducts third-party municipal accessibility plan reviews and also serves on the Chicago Building Owners and Managers Association Codes Committee.

Course Description: This two-hour course focuses on key accessibility components for multi-family residential buildings under the Fair Housing Act, the IBC, and ICC A117.1.
