All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Speakers

Jason M. Collins

Jason M. Collins is an Associate at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson PLLP, where he practices civil litigation, cybersecurity, data privacy, and employment law. He attended law school at the University of Montana after a long career as an Information Technology consultant. Mr. Collins founded an IT firm that provided network security and management services for businesses and individuals throughout Louisiana. He began that career in 2000, specializing in network security, remote access, and mail server management, eventually serving as a contract Chief Information Officer for a charter school district. In his role as CIO, Mr. Collins stressed security and scalability, managed one-thousand seats and thirteen servers across five schools, and implemented multimillion-dollar federal technology grants. After graduating from the University of Montana Law School with honors, he clerked for Justice Laurie McKinnon at the Montana Supreme Court. When his clerkship concluded, Mr. Collins joined GLR. He is admitted to practice in Montana State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Montana.

Sam King

Sam King, M.S., M.A. is an Associate at Doney Crowley P.C. He is a fourth-generation Montanan and grew up in Missoula. He attended college, graduate school, and law school at the University of Wyoming. After law school, Mr. King returned to Montana and clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Mike McGrath of the Montana Supreme Court. He joined Doney Crowley in August, 2020. He lives in Helena with his wife and two kids and enjoys skiing, trail running, and riding my bike. In addition to his J.D. degree, Mr. King holds a B.Sc degree in political science and an M.A. degree in environment and natural resources.

Griffin B Stevens

Griffin B. Stevens is an attorney with the law firm Crowley Fleck PLLP. Before attending law school, he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University.
Mr. Griffin now devotes a significant portion of his legal practice to defending engineers and architects in construction-related matters throughout Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota. He enjoys the opportunity every matter presents to learn something new about engineered systems, from roadways and transportation infrastructure, to lift stations and wastewater treatment plants, to structural systems, foundations, and earthworks. Above all, however, he enjoys working as a problem solver to help protect his clients, their businesses, and their professional reputations. Mr. Stevens is located in Bozeman, Montana.

ANTOINETTE M. TEASE, PLLC

Ms. Tease is a registered patent attorney who practices in the areas of intellectual property and technology law. Before forming her own law firm in 2003, she was general counsel for Rocky Mountain Technology Group, Inc. at its worldwide headquarters in Billings. From 1995 to 2001, Ms. Tease was a member of the law firm of Crowley, Haughey, Hanson, Toole & Deitrich, P.L.L.P. where she represented clients in both high-tech and traditional industries in intellectual property matters. Before moving to Montana in 1995, Ms. Tease practiced with law firms in Washington, D.C. and New York City. She attended law school at the University of Connecticut School of Law. Ms. Tease obtained a B. A. degree in Economics from Harvard University and is admitted to practice in Montana and New York. She is an active member of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law and serves on the Business Advisory Board for the Montana State University-Billings College of Business. 

LAURA WALKER

As a member of the firm’s Commercial Group and Estate Planning Group, Ms. Walker works closely with her clients to develop and implement strategies to achieve their goals. In her business practice she advises clients on business strategies and prepares all necessary documents regarding choosing a form of business entity, corporate and business governance, employee manuals and trademark protection. Ms. Walker handles business transactions including purchase and sale agreements, real estate, shareholder and operating agreements and commercial leases. She obtained her B.A. degree, with honors, from MSU-Bozeman and her J.D. degree from the University of Montana in 2006. Ms. Walker regularly volunteers with the Eagle Mount Adaptive Ski Program and with the Junior League.
