All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

FORSE Consulting, Eau Claire, WIMr. Rubenzer started FORSE in 2010, were he works as a delegated designer for other structural engineers on designs involving steel, concrete, PT concrete, masonry, and wood construction. He often speaks on the topics of software use and best practices in masonry design. Mr. Rubenzer has over 20 years of experience and is a licensed structural engineer (SE) and a professional engineer (PE) in many of the Midwestern states. He has also been a consultant to IMI for the past 11 years.

Course Description: This course is intended to assist design professionals with properly utilizing masonry in their next project. The course discusses all aspects of masonry design and construction: masonry codes, guidelines, materials, products, design, construction, software and sustainability.

Learners will be able to review codes and guidelines that relate to masonry construction, including the International Building Code, International Residential Code, The Masonry Code, ASTM masonry standards, and local codes and standards.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to explore different kinds of masonry materials and products, including stone, brick, and concrete units, masonry veneer, reinforced clay masonry and concrete masonry.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to engage in structural masonry design, identify requirements for structural components, and discuss the types of masonry veneers.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to review masonry construction procedures, components, lintels, and prefabricated masonry and discuss the sustainability of masonry.
