All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.0 PDHs for professional engineers and land surveyors in Maine. Continuing education courses for engineers and land surveyors in Maine are not subject to pre-approval requirements.

The Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar has approved this webinar for 6.0 total CLE hours, including 1.0 ethics and professionalism hour.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the webinar for those who attend the entire course and score a minimum 80% on the quiz that follows the course (multiple attempts allowed).

Speakers

Knud Hermansen, PSM, PE, Ph.D., Esq.

Land Surveyor, in Hobe Sound, FL

Dr. Hermansen is a professional land surveyor, professional engineer, and attorney at law. He earned his undergraduate degree and a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, his M.S. degree in Surveying and Mapping from the University of Wisconsin, and a law degree from West Virginia University. He taught law, engineering, and surveying at the University of Maine, and he actively practices in the areas of land development, real estate, construction, professional liability, mediation, arbitration, and boundary location. Dr. Hermansen is the author or co-author of several articles and law reviews on surveying, land development, easements, and boundary retracement, including several Maine State Bar Association practice series.

Pamella A. Seay

Attorney, Seay Law International PA, in Port Charlotte, FL

Ms. Seay is an attorney licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Florida. Since 2001, she has been Florida Bar board certified in international law, and currently serves on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar International Law Section. Ms. Seay is a full professor at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers where she teaches constitutional law, criminal law, comparative justice, and international justice issues. As an attorney, she provides legal advice and consultation for foreign and domestic businesses on international legal matters including ethics and business development. Ms. Seay is a regular lecturer on international law and legal ethics, speaking in the US, and around the world, including Greece, Italy, China, England, Brazil and other sites. She is the author of a number of publications, focusing on international issues, including a textbook titled International Travel and the Global Experience. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her LL.M. degree in International Law from Stetson University College of Law. Ms. Seay has served six terms on The Florida Bar Professional Ethics Committee.
