All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 2.0 PDHs for professional engineers, 2.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects, and 2.0 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Director of Sustainability for NORR

Mr. Jackson is an architect working at the nexus of sustainability, wellness, resiliency, and equity, who serves as the global Director of Sustainability for NORR. NORR is a +800-person integrated architecture, interior design, planning and engineering company, headquartered in Toronto, with 14 locations in the US, UK, UAE, and Canada – serving 12 major buildings sectors. He has 22 years’ experience in the AEC industry, holding a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kennesaw State University in Marietta, Georgia and a Master of Architecture in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association Graduate School in London, England. Mr. Jackson is a prolific author, speaker, and educator on topics affecting the built environment. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s Interior Design Program, and from 2016-2018, he was elected to the board of the Boston Society of Architects as their Vice President of Advocacy. In 2015, Mr. Jackson was recognized, nationally, by Building Design and Construction Magazine as a top “40 Under 40” AEC professional, and in 2021, he was named a LEED Fellow by the US Green Building Council for his accomplishments in promoting “green” buildings.

Course Description: This two-hour course provides a comprehensive understanding of wildlife-friendly urbanism. Through nature-based solutions, architectural designs, and compliance with rating systems like LEED and local ordinances, design professionals will be able to create sustainable and resilient urban environments.

Learners will be able to analyze building-level and site-wide architectural solutions to support wildlife-friendly urbanism.
