All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 2.0 PDHs for professional engineers, 2.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects, and 2.0 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Andony Melathopoulos

 Assistant Professor – Agriculture & Life Sciences

Mr. Melathopoulos is an Assistant Professor in Pollinator Health Extension in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University, which was the first such position in the United States. He also sits on the Steering Committee of the Oregon Bee Project, which coordinates pollinator health work across state agencies, leads the Oregon Bee Atlas and hosts a weekly podcast called PolliNation. In 2018 Mr. Melathopoulos was recognized with the national Pollinator Advocate award by the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign.

Course Description: This course explores the role of pollinators in the ecosystem and examines common pollinator identification, the ten principles for landscaping for pollinators, and managing pests and weeds to promote pollinators.

Learners will be able to identify common pollinators on sites, as a first step to developing a robust pollinator landscape.

Learners will be able be evaluate and formulate strategies for managing pests and weeds to achieve a pollinator landscape.
