All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information
International Residential Code
This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 continuing education hours to professional
engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects in Missouri.
Architects and engineers seeking continuing education credit in other states will be able
to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to
determine eligibility.
This event is approved by the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System
for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Only full attendance can be reported to the
AIA/CES.
The International Code Council has approved this event for .7 CEUs in the specialty area of
Building (Preferred Provider No. 1232).
This event offer a non-credit continuing education opportunity to construction contractors.
This event has not been approved by any state with a continuing education requirement for
contractors.
In-person attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after
the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not
available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.
Completion certificates will be awarded to participants who complete the entire event
online, respond to all prompts, and earn a passing score (80%) on the quiz that follows the
presentation (multiple attempts allowed).

Joseph Iliff, CBO
Building & Zoning Director for Village of Swansea, IllinoisJoseph Iliff has been a building official, building inspector, and city planner for more than 25 years, serving cities in Indiana, Texas, Missouri, and Illinois. He earned an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University. He holds certifications as a residential building inspector, building official, city planner, and floodplain manager. He has taught classes on the residential, building, and property maintenance codes with a focus on preparing students for certification exams and effective administration.

Course Description: This seven-hour live lecture presentation examine International Residential Code provisions for residential building planning and shell construction (Chapter 2-10), energy efficiency (Chapter 11) and mechanical, fuel, plumbing and electrical system provisions from the Uniform Plumbing Code and the National Electrical Code.

Learners will be able to reference and comply with IRC provisions for residential mechanical, fuel, plumbing and electrical systems, including appliance installation and exhaust systems, ventilation, fuel gas systems, plumbing fixtures, backflow preventers, fire sprinkler systems, electrical grounding, and electrical outlets.

Learners will be able to reference and comply with IRC provisions for residential shell design and construction for wind effects, seismic activity, snow loads, live loads, and floods, storms and drainage.
