All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states.

Building & Zoning Director for Village of Swansea, Illinois

Joseph Iliff has been a building official, building inspector, and city planner for more than 25 years, serving cities in Indiana, Texas, Missouri, and Illinois. He earned an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Development from Ball State University. He holds certifications as a residential building inspector, building official, city planner, and floodplain manager. He has taught classes on the residential, building, and property maintenance codes with a focus on preparing students for certification exams and effective administration.

Course Description: This 6.5-hour course offers an in-depth analysis of the International Plumbing Code 2021. The course begins with a discussion of the development, enforcement and applicability of the code before closely reviewing chapters 2-15.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to discuss the development and enforcement of the International Plumbing Code 2021, as well as the applicability of the code, the duties of code officials, the obtaining of approvals and permits, and participating in inspections and testing.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to review chapters 2-5 of the International Plumbing Code 2021: definitions, general regulations, fixtures, faucets, fittings and water heaters.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to review chapters 6-10 of the International Plumbing Code 2021: water supply and distribution, sanitary drainage, indirect/special waste, vents, traps, interceptors and separators.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to review chapters 11-15 of the International Plumbing Code 2021: storm drainage, special piping, storage systems, non-potable systems, irrigation systems, standards and appendices.
