All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 7.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

New Mexico Building and Home Safety Alliance, Inc.

Mr. Evans is the managing partner for the New Mexico Building and Home Safety Alliance, LLC (NMBHSA), and the president of Southwest Training Alliance (SWTA), a not-for-profit workforce development company. He also serves as the safety and training manager for Albuquerque Plumbing Heating and Cooling, Inc., where he manages their registered plumbing and HVAC apprenticeship program. He has 32 years of experience carrying both Mechanical and Electrical contracting licenses in the state of New Mexico along with four journeyman licenses. Mr. Evans provides third party evaluation and consulting for matters relating to contracting, the mechanical and electrical trades and occupational safety and health. He also engages in speaking and instruction online and in person. Mr. Evans owned Amigo Mechanical, a fully licensed mechanical contracting company from 1999 to 2015, worked as the Commercial HVAC Manager for Albuquerque Plumbing Heating and Cooling, Inc., starting in 2016 and then partnering with them to form the NMBHSA and SWTA in 2019. Mr. Evans is a life-long New Mexican, raised in Las Cruces, and he speaks, reads, and writes fluent Spanish. He has been training professional adults since 2012.

Course Description: This seven-hour course offers an in-depth analysis of the International Plumbing Code 2021. The course begins with a discussion of the history, purpose, applicability and enforcement of the code before closely reviewing chapters 2-15.

Learners will be able to analyze and discuss chapters 2-5 of the International Plumbing Code 2021: definitions, general regulations, fixtures, faucets, fittings and water heaters.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to analyze and discuss chapters 6-10 of the International Plumbing Code 2021: water supply and distribution, sanitary drainage, indirect/special waste, vents, traps, interceptors and separators.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to analyze and discuss chapters 11-15 of the International Plumbing Code 2021: storm drainage, special piping, storage systems, non-potable systems, irrigation systems, standards and appendices.
