Course Title: Geothermal Hydronic Fundamentals and One-Pipe Ambient Temperature Loops

Delivery Method: Live Online

Course Description: This two-hour course examines geothermal hydronic fundamentals with a focus on one-pipe ambient temperature loops and their advantages over two-pipe systems. The course examines the design and efficiency of one-pipe thermal energy networks, common issues that affect performance, and strategies for optimization. The course also explores the role of modern controls, sensors, and software in hydronic system management, as well as the integration of ambient temperature loops with HVAC systems.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to explain the processes of one-pipe ambient temperature loops and their advantages over two-pipe systems.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to analyze the design of efficient one-pipe thermal energy network systems with geothermal integrations and identify common issues in one-pipe systems that limit efficiency.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to explain the role of modern controls, sensors, and software in optimizing hydronic systems.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to discuss the advantages of integrating ambient temperature loops with HVAC systems.
