All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher. 

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Mechanical Systems SME, Egg Geo

Mr. Miller has been a leader in the HVAC industry since 1995, bringing decades of expertise to complex mechanical systems projects. With a security clearance obtained in 1998, he has worked on missioncritical and unique MEP projects not typically found in traditional commercial MEP work. This clearance enabled Mr. Miller to perform construction and system integrations on a global scale, including projects in Egypt, India, the UK, Western Europe, the Caribbean, and across the United States. Holding an HVAC masters license in Maryland and Virginia, as well as a stationary engineer license, he is a member of ASHRAE and specializes in Mission Critical MEP, special projects, and classified projects. Areas of expertise encompass hydronics, ducting, controls, refrigeration, data centers, and a range of building types from multifamily and commercial to institutional and light commercial applications. Since 2016, Mr. Miller has been based in Scottsdale, Arizona, continuing to deliver innovative solutions for the HVAC and mechanical systems field while advancing sustainable and efficient technologies worldwide.

Course Title: Geothermal: Exploring Thermal Energy Networks and Hybrid Geothermal Systems

Course Description: This two-hour course explores thermal energy networks and their role in district heating and cooling, with a focus on integrating geothermal energy and hybrid geothermal systems. The course examines various thermal energy harnessing technologies, including binary-cycle and enhanced geothermal systems (EGS), and their applications in modern energy systems. The course also explores the environmental and economic advantages of geothermal energy, as well as key maintenance and water treatment considerations for networked systems.

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to define thermal energy networks and their application in district heating and cooling.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to integrate geothermal energy into thermal networks and explore the benefits of hybrid geothermal systems.
