This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 3.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 3.0 continuing education hours for licensed architects in most states that allow non-HSW coursework. *This course is not approved in New York. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Mr. Becker has over 45 years’ experience working with clients developing their capital projects; over 16 years working for general contractors, 4 years working for design-builders and over 20 years he worked for public agencies providing project and construction management services focusing on alternative project delivery. He is working as an independent consultant providing project management and claims resolution support to public clients. Mr. Becker led teams to develop projects around the western states including Washington, California, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, South Dakota, Nevada, and Arizona, on projects with a construction value of more than $1.3 billion included bridges, roadways, water facilities airports, rail, schools, commercial, and community facilities. He focuses on alternative delivery projects, Design-Build and CMAR (Construction Management at Risk). Mr. Becker was on the Board of Governors for the ASCE Construction Institute and is a founding member of the Claims Avoidance and Resolution Committee. He currently on the ASCE Board of Direction. Mr. Becker is the Chair of the Committee on Claims Reduction Management (CCRM) and currently serves as a delegate to the Engineers Joint Construction Document Committee (EJCDC) working on redevelopment of the CMAR, Design-Build and Progressive Design Build contract documents.

Course Description: This three-hour course explores the history and evolution of the EJCDC Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) Series, offering an in-depth understanding of the CMAR project delivery system. The course covers key contracts, including the CMAR-700 standard general conditions, agreements between project stakeholders, and critical documents like subcontracts and bonds.
