For AIA requirements only, the on-demand recording will have occasional question prompts that will not allow the video to progress unless they are answered, and you will not be able to skip forward while watching the video.

This webinar is open to the public and offers 6.5 PDHs to professional engineers and 6.5 continuing education hours to architects licensed in all states that allow non-HSW coursework.

Mr. Adams is an FAA Part 107 certified pilot, and a tenured information technology and cloud industry veteran who has spent more than 25 years in the high-tech industry: the last 7 in UAS, AI, and machine learning.

Course Description: This courses examines unmanned aircraft system (UAS) usage in construction inspection and maintenance. Topics include UAS regulation, drone hardware, software and common troubleshooting issues, flight planning and monitoring, and case studies in UAS inspection and maintenance.

Learners will be able to identify and distinguish between various types of UAS and explain the benefits and drawbacks of using UAS for inspection and maintenance.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to describe the federal and state regulatory framework that drones operate within, discuss the remote pilot certification process, and identify liability risks for drone operators.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to discuss and reference industry standard hardware and software used for UAS inspections, and troubleshoot common issues that can arise in the inspection process.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to identify and describe best practices when planning and monitoring drone flights, including how to analyze and use the data collected.
