All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Dean Wirtanen, University of Wisconsin-Stout

Mr. Wirtanen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s Degree in Environmental and Public Health from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin – Stout where he has taught in the Construction Program for the past 13 years. He regularly teaches plan reading, estimating, structures, and mechanical system classes. He has taught the HVAC class for the past 10 years. He has spent three summers estimating for an Eau Claire based plumbing and HVAC contractor. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.

Learners will be able to explain HVAC system design considerations, HVAC systems and equipment, and HVAC system controls.

Learners will be able to explain HVAC design considerations for projects utilizing single zones and for those with multiple zones.
