Vice President of Whitestone Associates, Inc.
Mr. D’Ambrosio is a multi-state licensed Professional Engineer and New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional with 30 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Mr. D’Ambrosio’s experience includes various aspects of environmental investigation and evaluation ranging from initial due diligence through soil and groundwater investigation and remediation and hazardous building materials abatement.  With a consulting practice focused on site redevelopment projects, asbestos containing materials investigation, evaluation, and management are integral parts of most projects.

Laurence W. Keller P.E.

Mr. Keller has been providing geotechnical engineering, environmental compliance management, and field support services to private and public sector clients for more than 19 years. He is proficient at resolving problematic subsurface conditions and evaluating risks associated with difficult geotechnical and environmental problems. He has managed numerous projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions and has considerable expertise with a wide range of geotechnical and environmental services. Mr. Keller has worked at Whitestone since 2005 and has primarily been responsible for the performance and management of geotechnical projects from initial conception and investigation set-up, through preparation of final recommendations and reports, to follow-up consulting and expert witness testimony.

Course Title: Deep Dive into Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering

Course Description: This course examines environmental engineering investigations for construction sites to assess the presence of contaminants and toxins that may impact human health, and geotechnical engineering investigations to determine soil and site conditions that may impact the construction and integrity of foundations and other structures.

Learning Objectives:

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to describe pertinent abilities of environmental engineers, and identify how these abilities can benefit design and construction projects by identifying site contaminants that may present risks to builng occupants.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to describe procedures and outcomes involved in environmental site assessments, and will be able to determine the appropriate circumstances to request Phase 1 or Phase 2 site assessment.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to describe the core abilities of geotechnical engineers, and identify how these abilities can benefit design and construction projects by identifying site conditions that may present risk to the integrity of the proposed structure.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to explain the purposes and methodologies of geotechnical investigations, and they will be able to determine appropriate circumstances in which a design and construction project would benefit from a geotechnical investigation.
