All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and each provides 3.0 CLE hours to attorneys licensed in Texas and 3.0 continuing education hours to real estate professionals licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

HalfMoon Education is an approved CLE provider with the State Bar of Texas (#8409). This course has been listed with the State Bar of Texas for 3.0 CLE hours. This webinar has been approved by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for 3.0 CLE credits in the specialty area of real estate law for certification and recertification continuing legal education.

This course may provide 3.0 continuing education hours to licensees of the Texas Real Estate Commission. Per §535.92(e) of the Texas Real Estate Commission rules, licensees are able to request continuing education elective credit for real estate related courses approved by the State Bar of Texas for minimum continuing legal education participatory credit. *The license holder is required to file an Individual Credit Request for State Bar courses.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the webinar for those who attend the entire course and score a minimum 80% on the quiz that follows the course (multiple attempts allowed).

John Absher

Attorney with John Absher Law PLLC

Mr. Absher is an attorney in private practice in the Woodlands, Texas. He represents investors and other business owners in a wide range of transactions, often with a focus on real estate contracts. Mr. Absher enjoys solving complex issues in transactions and eliminating confusion with plain-English contracts.

Audra Rod Smith

Attorney based in Wharton County, Texas

Ms. Smith’s practice focuses on a wide variety of agricultural issues, especially those involving cattle. She additionally spends a significant portion of her time on oil and gas title examination, farm and ranch transactions, and real estate litigation. Ms. Smith also assists clients with estate planning, probates, and business planning needs. She is a graduate of El Campo High School. Ms. Smith received her bachelor of science degree in Agricultural Science from Texas A&M University in 2009, and received her doctor of jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law in 2014. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2014 and is also admitted to the Southern District of Texas. Ms. Smith is a member of the Wharton County Bar Association, formerly serving as president, and she is a member of the Texas Bar College.
