Each webinar session earns continuing education credit and can be registered for individually. All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Architect Planner PC, with offices in Nyack, NY and Norwalk, CT
Mr. Degenshein’s work product embraces universal, sustainable and resilient building design innovations for government, education, housing, group homes for the disabled, medical services, religious institutions, and the hospitality industry. As a professional planner, he has represented developers before land use boards, and on the other side of the table has provided planning oversight on behalf of municipalities. Mr. Degenshein has also furnished expert testimony on complex legal planning issues. He received a B.S. degree in Architectural Sciences from Washington University in St. Louis, a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and an M.S. degree in Planning concurrently from Pratt Institute, and a certificate in Advanced Building Technology from the City University of New York, where he also undertook post graduate studies in environmental psychology. He is LEED legacy accredited and is an emeritus member of the American Institute of Architects; a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners; a charter member of the American Planning Association; and a member of the Universal Design Network.

Denise R. Ellsworth

Program Director, Pollinator Education with the Department of Entomology/Extension at The Ohio State University
Ms. Ellsworth directs the honey bee and native pollinator education program through The Ohio State University Department of Entomology on the Wooster campus. In this outreach position, she supports and teaches beekeepers, farmers, gardeners and others across the state through a variety of workshops, webinars, written materials and electronic resources. Ms. Ellsworth has bachelor of science and master of science degrees from The Ohio State University. Her areas of emphasis are in bee health, integrated pest management, pollinator identification, conservation and habitat enhancement, plant and insect phenology, adult education and citizen science.

Margaret Holden

Ms. Holden’s practice focuses on environmental and land use litigation, regulatory compliance counseling, renewable energy development, and environmental due diligence of development projects. She has challenged and defended projects under the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act and represented potentially responsible parties in CERCLA proceedings.
Ms. Holden has experience with matters arising under a variety of federal environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act. She also has experience advising clients on permitting and environmental review for offshore wind projects. Ms. Holden is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Environmental Law Review.

E. Christopher Murray

Mr. Murray has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of complex commercial, environmental, real estate, brokerage commission, insurance, employment, civil rights, anti-trust and trademark litigation; as well as in commercial real estate and business transactions. He has presented programs before the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau County Planning Federation on land use litigation, employment practices and civil rights. Mr. Murray is also chair of the firm’s Environmental and Land Use Practice Group. His experience includes litigation and administrative hearings involving a variety of environmental issues including SEQRA compliance, violations of New York and federal law concerning the disposal of hazardous waste, challenges to the denial of wetland permits and CERCLA liability. He also advises clients regarding compliance with environmental and zoning laws and regulations.
