Lead Ecological Designer, United Designers International, Owner Eastern EcosystemsMr. Lynn is an ecological designer and educator based in the United States. He has worked on numerous projects around the world including large scale watershed restoration, agriculture and agroforestry production systems, ecological restoration. Around Chesapeake Bay in the US, he works with storm water management, ecological restoration and living shorelines projects. He has integrated his graduate level academic studies with practical training and certifications to design, implement and manage healthy ecological systems. Mr. Lynn has a passion for education and provides training focused on nature-based solutions for many of our challenges.
F. Albert McCullough III, P.E., PWS
Principal Ecological Engineer Sustainable Science LLCFor over two decades, Sustainable Science LLC founder and Principal Ecological Engineer, Mr. McCullough, has designed and provided construction oversight of numerous living shorelines throughout the mid-Atlantic region. He provides ecological engineering services for hydrology studies, shoreline stabilization, ecological restoration and creation projects from preliminary to final bid package with permit acquisition. Mr. McCullough executes natural resource field data collection, reduction and analyses and performs topographic & bathymetric surveys. He has developed landscape level restoration master plans in all New York City boroughs for the New York District Corps of Engineers Planning Division. In the last decade, he has developed innovative coastal engineering approaches by first defining then working with coastal defining processes.

Course Description: This 6.5-hour course explores the causes, impacts and projections of coastal erosion and focuses on mitigation using living shorelines. The course will assess nature-based solutions and green infrastructure for controlling coastal erosion and dive deep into the design, implementation and management of living shorelines for a variety of site conditions.
