Webinar Instructions 
 
All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher. 

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. Mr. Luke has over 40 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry. He offers inspections, construction management, and construction consultation for residential and commercial projects and is a national speaker on topics such as construction; engineering, building safety, real estate, construction litigation, expert witness services, building codes and more. Mr. Luke is a three-time best-selling author on the subjects of construction management and building safety and has numerous articles published in national construction, design and management publications. He has also been a featured guest on national media shows such as Times Square Today and Hollywood Live, which were broadcast on national media outlets such as ABC, CNBC, CNN, NBC, Fox Affiliates, A&E and Bravo. In his speaking career, Mr. Luke conducts up to 30 presentations annually, including educational webinars and seminars targeted toward the construction, real estate, and property management industries. Course Title: Construction Essentials Carpentry Quick-Card Workshop

Delivery Method: Live Online 

Course Description: This three-hour course demonstrates how to use the construction essentials carpentry quick-card. The card contains essential formulas, data, and instructions related to wood and lumber products, and framing for footings, floors, roofs and walls.

Learning Objectives: 

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to reference standard wood sizes, panel products, and veneer grades using the carpentry quick-card.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to identify framing requirements and calculate design loads for footings, floors, walls, and roofs.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to apply quick-card data to roof and rafter framing, including joist sizing and spacing.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to discuss carpentry quick-card details related to stair design, including stringers and rise/run calculations.
