Kaitlin S. Bursey

Ms. Bursey is a Shareholder in the firm’s Business and Litigation Departments. She provides transactional and litigation services to public agency and private clients in the areas of water, municipal, and agribusiness law. Ms. Bursey’s legal practice focuses on water and natural resources law, water rights, water quality, municipal rates and fees, public agency law, agribusiness, eminent domain, real property, and general civil litigation.

Ms. Bursey grew up in eastern Shasta County and discovered her interest in water law and policy through her involvement with the agriculture industry and organizations like 4-H and FFA.

During law school, Ms. Bursey clerked with the California Department of Water Resources, the California Attorney General’s Office Section for Land Use, Natural Resources, and Environmental Law, Westlands Water District, and two Sacramento-based private firms specializing in water and natural resources and agribusiness law. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Bursey worked as an agribusiness insurance underwriter for a global insurance carrier.

Alan Forester, CPA

He also testified as an expert witness in various state and federal courts in California.  Mr. Forester is a Certified Public Accountant, Attorney, and Economist. He received his M.A. in Economics and Finance, his Ph.D. Candidacy degree in Economics from UCLA, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.  Mr. Forester is an adjunct professor at California State University (CSU) and has teaching credentials in Accounting and Economics. He has taught tax, accounting, business law, statistics, and computer courses to graduate and undergraduate students. Mr. Forester is a Judicial Arbitrator of the Superior Court of the State of California for Los Angeles County as well as a mandatory fee arbitration for the State Bar of California.

Zachary Schorr

Mr. Schorr is known as one of the top real estate attorneys in Los Angeles. He leads Schorr Law’s team of attorneys in a very active real estate law firm in Southern California. He is an experienced Los Angeles real estate attorney and litigator who enjoys the litigation process and trials.

Mr. Schorr initially gained his experience in law by working in a well-known national law firm, later honing his skills at a well-respected real estate and entertainment boutique law firm. In the winter of 2005, he founded Schorr Law, A Professional Corporation, with the goal of creating a firm focused on deep expertise in real estate law.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Schorr earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles and his Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Davis, School of Law. He also worked for the Clinton White House for Vice President Gore in the Community Empowerment Board, helping develop policy for redeveloping inner cities through tax incentives.
