All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

Kasia Burzynska, AIA, LEED AP
Consultant - Building Envelope with Walker Consultants, in New York, NYMs. Burzynska is a Building Envelope Consultant and a registered architect at Walker Consultants in New York City, specializing in historic preservation and the investigation and restoration of the building envelope, with over eight years of experience in the field. She is a SPRAT Level 1 Technician, an ITC-Certified Level 2 Thermographer, and a LEED Accredited Professional. Ms. Burzynska’s expertise includes building envelope condition assessments, façade restoration and roof replacement following historic preservation principles, leak investigations, sidewalk and plaza replacement, and waterproofing. She is a member of the AIA, the Association for Preservation Technology International (APTI), APT Northeast Chapter and a Vice-Chair of the New York Chapter of National Women in Roofing (NWiR). Throughout her career, she has presented at several industry conferences focused on historic preservation and restoration of the building envelope.
Sara Holcomb, PE, QEWI
Director of Building Envelope Services with Walker Consultants, in New York, NYMs. Holcomb has more than 18 years of experience with historic preservation, façade inspections, and consulting in New York City and around the country. Her building envelope expertise and project leadership experience has included numerous complex structures, ranging from high-rise office buildings and hotels, to residential buildings and parking garages, as well as government and university campuses.
Highlights from Ms. Holcomb’s engineering consulting background include historic preservation and facade restoration, structural engineering repair design, roofing and waterproofing design, and forensic leak investigations. Her past project experience includes condition assessments, steel and concrete structural analysis, bidding and construction administration, repair and restoration design, building enclosure peer review, and New York City façade ordinance inspections.
Her material expertise includes structural steel and concrete; terra cotta, brick, and stone masonry and anchorage; and various sealant, roofing, and waterproofing systems and technologies. Ms. Holcomb is a licensed PE in multiple states and a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) in New York City. Her professional industry affiliations include ICRI, APT, and the Sealant, Waterproofing, and Restoration Institute.

Course Description: This two-hour course examines moisture intrusion prevention in roofing and building envelope systems, covering waterproofing membranes, roof drainage, flashing and detailing strategies, and condensation and mold prevention. Instruction also addresses durability, lifecycle performance, and lessons learned from common roofing and waterproofing failures.
