All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited.
Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.0 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.0 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Andrew Bevis, CFI-I, C.B.O, M.C.P
National Plan Review Manager with SAFEbuiltMr. Bevis has over 10 years of experience supporting building department services that include plan review and inspections. In addition to earning the ICC Master Code Professional designation, he has 31 other ICC certifications. He has served as the Chief Building Official and Deputy Chief Building Official for the city of Atlanta. Mr. Bevis has also served as codes and standard specialist for the National Fire Sprinkler Association. Finally, he serves on and chairs several ICC committees and is deeply involved in model code development. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from Southern Illinois University. Mr. Bevis has been with SAFEbuilt for the past nine years. His other previous experience include serving as a Building Inspector for the City of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Course Title: Applying the Building Code to Cannabis Facilities
Delivery Method: Live Online
Course Description: As part of a relatively new and emerging industry, large scale cannabis cultivation and processing facilities introduce new challenges related to building design and safety. This six-hour course identifies building codes applicable to cannabis facilities and analyzes compliance strategies, focusing on fire protection, MEP systems and energy codes.

Learners will be able to assess and understand the unique design challenges of the many different types of cannabis facilities.
Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to comply with fire code requirements related to means of egress, protection systems, hazardous material handling and extraction processes.
Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to reference and explain the mechanical code requirements impacting cannabis facilities ventilation and exhaust systems, and discuss potential new requirements.
Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to identify and comply with plumbing code and electrical code requirements related to water system protection and power usage.
