Speakers
Michael Raymond
Sky-Cam – Drone Services
Having his roots firmly in Kansas City Construction, Mr. Raymond has been an apprentice and a journeyman in multiple trades. He is also an experienced estimator and project manager. Mr. Raymond now uses drone technology to help architects, engineers and contractors (AEC) clients achieve a safe and productive worksite throughout the entire project life-cycle, including the creation of digital twins for handover. A veteran of the US Army, he served 11 years as an enlisted combat medic and a commissioned aviation officer flying three types of rotary winged aircraft. He has also owned and operated a hot air balloon ride business for eight years. As “Chief Remote Pilot” for Skycam – Kansas City’s advanced drone services, Mr. Raymond offers drones as a service for architects, engineers and constructors. With high precision and survey grade sensors he offers thermal/infrared inspections, transmission and distribution infrastructure mapping as well as project documentation and full scope land surveys. He helps train other remote pilot and chief drone program managers on how to safely and effectively use unmanned aerial vehicles in the AEC industry. With hundreds of hours of safe manned and unmanned aircraft operation, Mr. Raymond is certain to satisfy the most demanding clients with his “on-demand” drone services.
