All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher. 

Webinars are presented via GoToWebinar, an easy-to-use application that can be run on most systems and tablets. Instructions and login information will be provided in an email sent close to the date of the webinar. It is highly recommended that you download, install and test the application before the webinar begins by clicking on the link in the email.

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 3.0 PDHs for professional engineers, 3.0 PDHs for professional land surveyors, and 3.0 HSW continuing education hours for landscape architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education sponsor for engineers in Florida (Provider License No: CEA362), Indiana (License No. CE21700059), Maryland, New Jersey (Approval No. 24GP00049300) and North Carolina (S-0130). HalfMoon Education is deemed an approved continuing education sponsor for New York engineers, surveyors, and landscape architects via its registration with the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA/CES). Karen Schuckman, CP, CMS-Lidar

Subject Matter Expert for Remote Sensing and Geospatial Services at RRC Companies

Ms. Karen Schuckman is the SME for Remote Sensing and Geospatial Services at RRC Companies, a recognized leader in the international renewable energy industry. She continues to serve as a part-time associate teaching professor of Geography at The Pennsylvania State University, where for 17 years she was the lead faculty for the Graduate Certificate in Remote Sensing and Earth Observation in the Online Geospatial Program. She also serves as the executive director of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. Prior to her move to teaching, Ms. Schuckman was the geospatial technology leader at URS Corporation (now AECOM) from 2005-2006. From 1995-2005, she was with the EarthData group (now Fugro), where she held several positions including geospatial applications director for EarthData Solutions; senior vice president of EarthData Technologies; and president and general manager of EarthData International of North Carolina. Notable projects in her private sector career include leading the use of remotely sensing imagery in the Hurricane Katrina response, leading lidar acquisition for the first phase of the North Carolina Floodplain Mapping Program, numerous transportation mapping projects for state DOT’s, and technology demonstration projects for NOAA, NASA and the US Department of Transportation. Prior to joining the private sector, Ms. Schuckman worked for the USGS National Mapping Division, in Menlo Park, California. She is a former vice chair of the NOAA Advisory Committee on Commercial Remote Sensing (ACCRES) and a member of the National Research Council Committees on Floodplain Mapping Technologies and FEMA Flood Map Accuracy. She holds an MS degree in Geospatial Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University, is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist, ASPRS Certified Mapping Scientist – Lidar, and Professional Land Surveyor.
