All attendees must log-on through their own email – attendees may not watch together if they wish to earn continuing education credit. HalfMoon Education Inc. must be able to prove attendance if either the attendee or HalfMoon Education Inc. is audited. 

Certificates of completion can be downloaded in PDF form upon passing a short quiz. A link to the quiz will be sent to each qualifying attendee immediately after the webinar. The certificate can be downloaded from the Results page of the quiz upon scoring 80% or higher.

With over 40 years of experience, she provides expert witnessing on ADA, 504, Federal Housing Administration, and Air Carrier Access Act legal cases. In 1990 she founded Accessology Too, LLC which is a national leader in providing accessibility consulting services and is one of the largest U.S. firms dedicated solely to accessibility and access issues. Since its founding, Accessology has worked closely with the Department of Justice and the U.S. Access Board to remain knowledgeable and adept with the constant changes that occur regarding ADA guidelines. Accessology has worked on numerous multi-million dollar projects to impact accessibility compliance during all stages, from schematics to construction and final inspections. Since 2005 Accessology has specialized in the development, execution, and monitoring of the required ADA Transition Plans for Title II entities to help them avoid access-related litigation since so much litigation is tied to not having a Transition Plan on file. Course Title: Accessibility – Current Issues in Interior Design 

Delivery Method: Live Online 

Course Description: This six-hour course explores current accessibility issues in interior design, focusing on multi-purpose spaces, historic restorations, natural materials, and acoustic design. The course will examine how and when accessibility laws apply to different spaces, the impact of materials on user experience, assistive listening technologies, and inclusive wayfinding solutions.

Learning Objectives: 

Learning Objective 1: Learners will be able to identify accessibility requirements for multi-purpose spaces and utilize design solutions that accommodate diverse user needs, including those with invisible disabilities.

Learning Objective 2: Learners will be able to incorporate accessible design elements in historic restoration projects while identifying and preserving important historical elements and repurposing materials.

Learning Objective 3: Learners will be able to discuss the potential effects that natural material aesthetics, such as contrast, color, and texture, can have on anxiety.

Learning Objective 4: Learners will be able to implement acoustic design strategies, including assistive listening systems, loop systems, wayfinding, and signage.
