This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in New Jersey.

Mr. Boekhout offers private consulting work. He is a building and accessibility codes consultant for architects, contractors, developers, engineers, and attorneys. Mr. Boekhout has been educating and presenting seminars for the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and Rutgers University for the past 30 years.

Course Description: This 6.5-hour course offers a comprehensive analysis of accessibility standards and design in New Jersey by examining relevant building codes, real world examples of accessibility issues, and compliant design. The course explores scoping for commercial and residential compliance, technical specifications for accessible routes, and common accessibility challenges. The course includes the latest requirements for various building types, including hotels and multi-story structures.

Learners will be able to evaluate scoping requirements for accessibility compliance in commercial and residential settings, as well as identify exemptions and affordable unit requirements.
