Continuing Education Credit Information

This webinar is open to the public and is designed to qualify for 6.5 PDHs for professional engineers and 6.5 HSW continuing education hours for licensed architects in all states that allow this learning method. Please refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

Ken Leake, PhD

Key Global Synergies Inc.

Dr. Leake is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in firefighting management, disaster response, and fire station sustainability and design. He has a bachelor’s degree in public safety, a master’s degree in finance, and a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. As a former City Deputy Fire Chief, he has collaborated with numerous groups, applying his expertise in firefighter health, wellness, and fitness needs, living accommodations, vehicle parking, storage, sustainability aspects, and end-user maintenance requirements. Dr. Leake is a qualified Aviation Chief Responder with FAA training in Aviation Rescue Fire Response, known for his proven track record in managing the planning, construction, and maintenance of fire stations and aircraft rescue facilities. He integrates his firefighting industry expertise into facility design, providing invaluable insight to project teams during the programming phase and conceptual design.

Cindy Quiroz, MBA, LEED AP

Parksmart Advisor and President -Key Global Synergies Inc.

Ms. Quiroz brings over 20 years of experience in transportation, aviation, and construction. She has an Executive MBA, and M.S. in Construction Management and is a LEED AP BD+C and Parksmart Advisor for parking structures. Ms. Quiroz is pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure engineering. Her research specializes in Public-Private Partnerships (P3s), transportation policy, and next-generation technologies, with a focus on the sustainability and resilience of Automated People Movers (APMs), Electric Vertical-Takeoff and Landing (eVTOLs) aircraft, and 3D manufacturing. Ms. Quiroz’s extensive background in construction spans the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization, design, finance, construction, operations, and maintenance.
