Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers up to 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects and landscape architects and 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers in most states, including Pennsylvania. Educators and courses are not subject to pre-approval in Pennsylvania.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885) and the Landscape Architect Continuing Education System for 7.0 HSW PDHs.

Architects, engineers, and landscape engineers with continuing education requirements in other states will be able to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility. Due to Pennsylvania-specific course content, this seminar is not eligible to New York architects, engineers, and landscape architects.

The Association of State Floodplain Managers has approved this event for 7.0 CECs.

This seminar also offers a continuing education opportunity to construction contractors but has not been submitted to any contractor licensing entity for course approval.

Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Speakers

Mark D. Jones, P.E.

Principal at Hartech Engineering & Consulting, LLC

Mr. Jones, P.E. is president of Hartech Engineering which was founded in 2007 as a multi-discipline civil engineering consulting firm providing infrastructure, development and municipal design services for the public and private sectors. Bringing over 30 years of engineering expertise along with specific state-of-the-art, computer-aided technology to achieve efficient, cost saving design solutions, he also provides hydrology and hydraulic studies and reports along with general civil engineering support for prime consultants to PennDOT or local municipality projects. Mr. Jones is a licensed pilot and studied Military Civil Engineering while serving in the USAF and continues his Masters education locally through Penn State. Additionally, he is also a registered professional engineer in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arizona and Georgia.
