Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 HSW of continuing education hours to Florida architects and 4.0 Area of Practice hours to Florida engineers (7.0 PDHs in other states). HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for Florida professional engineers (Provider No. 0004647).

HalfMoon Education is an approved continuing education provider for Florida architects (Provider No. 0001388; License No. PVD394), and the American Institute of Architects has approved this event for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Provider No. J885).

Architects and engineers seeking continuing education credit in other states will be able to apply the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.

The International Code Council has approved this program for 7.0 contact hours (.7 CEUs) in the specialty area of fire.

Attendance will be monitored and reported, as required. Attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Bruce Tumin

Tumin Engineering Company

President, Tumin Engineering CompanyMr. Tumin has more than 30 years’ experience in the fields of forensic, fire protection, and civil engineering as well as life safety and code compliance in our built environment. He provides forensic analysis including but limited to structures, foundations, roof coverings, and finish flooring systems for the insurance industry. Structures consist of concrete, wood and steel frame construction. His litigation consulting consists of expert witness testimonies and depositions dealing with construction deficiencies, product defects, cause and origin, extent of damage and deviation from plans. Mr. Tumin has designed, inspected and tested fire suppression and detection systems, including fire sprinklers, gas suppression, foam suppression, and dry chemical. Detection systems included a variety of initiation and notification devices. He has extensive knowledge and understanding of building and fire codes, and he assists architects, engineers, developers and owners/associations with renovations, building/fire code violations, ADA, and condominium turnovers and conversions.
