Gary R. Brown

President of RT Environmental Services, Inc.
Mr. Brown is president of RT Environmental Services, Inc., an environmental services firm located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. He is a professional engineer (P.E.) in 20 states, and he has been practicing environmental engineering in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 1973. He is also a qualified environmental professional (Q.E.P) with over 30 years of diversified engineering experience, including 22 years of engineering management experience. Mr. Brown has worked in the waste management industry and designed stormwater facilities since 1978. He has completed expert work on state and federal court cases as well.

Course Title: Stormwater Management Systems: Objectives and Design

Course Description: This 6.5 hour live lecture presentation examines local stormwater problems, existing stormwater management programs, best management practices, subsurface detention strategies, erosion and sediment best management practices, stormwater pollution prevention planning and preparedness prevention and contingency planning.

Learning Objectives: 

Learning Objective 1:
Learners will be able to describe the elements of a site assessment to determine recommended site design to management stormwater and water quality.

Learning Objective 2:
Learners will be able to identify and describe stormwater non-structural and structural stormwater best management practices.

Learning Objective 3:
Learners will be able to discuss subsurface stormwater detention strategies and be able to interpret stormwater pollution prevention plans and preparedness prevention and contingency plans.

Learning Objective 4:
Learners will be able to perform stormwater calculations for establishing erosion and sediment control plans.
