This seminar offers 6.5 continuing education hours to Connecticut architects, landscape architects, engineers, and construction contractors.

Continuing Education Credit Information

This seminar is open to the public and offers 6.5 non-mandatory continuing education hours to architects, landscape architects and professional engineers in Connecticut. Continuing education is not required for license maintenance in Connecticut.

This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885) and the Landscape Architect Continuing Education System for 6.5 HSW PDHs.

Attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Speakers

Mark Massoud

Land Use Official at Town of Southbury, CT

Mr. Massoud has over 25 years of experience within the stormwater management field and has held a variety of regulatory positions for several municipalities in Connecticut. He has reviewed hundreds of land development proposals minimizing the impacts from stormwater runoff to received water resources. In his positions he has completed comprehensive drafting of municipal regulations relating to stormwater management, water resource protection, zoning and local emergency response plans. In his current capacity his work includes the writing of annual stormwater plans and monitoring of plan implementation. He is certified as a NPDES permit writer by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Mr. Massoud is a member of the International Erosion Control Society and the Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists. He holds an MS degree in Urban Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.
