This seminar is open to the public. It offers 6.5 HSW CEPHs to Texas architects and landscape architects and 6.5 PDHs to Texas professional engineers to whom the subject matter is professionally relevant. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Texas.
This seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885) and the Landscape Architect Continuing Education System for 6.5 HSW PDHs.

Speakers
Laton Carr
City of Round RockDevelopment Services Engineering Lead, City of Round RockMr. Carr is the Development Services senior engineering lead with the City of Round Rock, Texas. He facilitates permit applications for site and subdivision development from the point of annexation and platting through site construction and closeout. Mr. Carr conducts pre-development meetings with developers and engineers to help identify the quickest path to permitting, construction, and closeout. He also reviews plat applications as well as subdivision plans, site plans, wastewater capacity analyses, flood studies, and drainage studies for code compliance and technical correctness. Prior to working for the City of Round Rock, Mr. Carr worked for a consulting engineering firm in Austin designing and preparing plans and reports similar to what he is now reviewing. Mr. Carr earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and he has served as a mentor for a senior civil engineering design class at the University of Texas for the past several years. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Carr is a professional engineer in Texas and is a certified floodplain manager.
