Continuing Education Credit Information
This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 PDHs to professional engineers and 7.0 HSW continuing education hours to architects in most states, including New Mexico. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in New Mexico.
This seminar is registered with the American Institute of Architects for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885). Only full attendance can be reported to the AIA/CES.
Engineers and architects seeking continuing education credit in other states will be able to claim the hours earned at this seminar, in most cases. Refer to specific state rules to determine eligibility.
The International Code Council has approved this event for .70 CEUs in the specialty area of Building.
This course offers a non-credit continuing education opportunity to construction contractors. It has not been submitted to any state contractor licensing entity for approval.
Attendance will be monitored, and attendance certificates will be available after the seminar for most individuals who complete the entire event. Attendance certificates not available at the seminar will be mailed to participants within fifteen business days.

Scott Pierce

Mr. Pierce has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and 16 of those years in the capacity of chief building official, plans examiner, combination inspector, flood plain administrator and zoning code enforcement director for jurisdictions in New Mexico and Colorado. He has reviewed hundreds of plans and has performed thousands of inspections. Mr. Pierce is a State of New Mexico certified building inspector and a certified professional member of the International Code Council, where he maintains certifications in commercial and residential building, plumbing and mechanical inspections, and building plan review as well as accessibility plan review and inspection.
