This seminar is open to the public and offers 7.0 HSW PDHs (contact hours) to architects and engineers in most states, including Alaska. Educators and courses are not subject to preapproval in Alaska.
This course is approved by the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System for 7.0 HSW Learning Units (Sponsor No. J885).

Speakers
Steven Halcomb, P.E., G.E.
Principal Geotechnical Engineer with Devise Engineering in Anchorage, AKThroughout his nearly two decades of geotechnical engineering experience, Mr. Holcomb has overseen geotechnical efforts on projects ranging from several hundred thousand to multi-million dollars in various environments including the arctic, subarctic, and marine. Mr. Halcomb has experience in designing various geotechnical infrastructure including shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, excavations, and dewatering including simple and complex analyses for design and extensive monitoring during construction. Mr. Halcomb is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Geo-Institute. He earned his B.S., M.C.E., M.S. in Arctic Engineering, and an Earthquake graduate certificate all from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
