Deborah Cazan, Partner

One hundred percent of her practice over the past 14 years has focused on representing clients in litigation, arbitration and mediation of construction, development and real estate related disputes, including claims for delay, acceleration, interference, defective construction, defective design, scope changes and other issues. She has successfully prosecuted and defended high-profile and high-dollar claims all over the country for quality clients in a wide variety of industries, including energy, hospitality, health care, mixed-use, multi-family, industrial, manufacturing, retail and education. On the transactional side, Ms. Cazan has extensive experience drafting and negotiating agreements for construction management, engineering procurement construction, design-build, program management, project management and architectural and engineering services. She has also helped numerous clients with mid-project change orders and amendments necessary to resolve disputes and prevent future litigation.
George H. Dubose, CGC, CIEC, MRSA
Liberty Building Forensic Group, Expert in Moisture and Mold Building Forensics and HVAC and Building Envelope FailuresGeorge H. DuBose brings over 30 years of experience in building forensics, focusing on failures related to mold and moisture issues. He is the co-author of three manuals on IAQ and Mold Prevention. These manuals, written for the EPA/ASHRAE, NCARB, and a major theme park owner, have been used on over $4B in construction. He has consulted on multiple mold and moisture-related failures across many industries, such as 1.5M SF in healthcare. In hospitality, he has consulted on resorts and hotel projects comprising over 40,000 rooms, including resorts in Southeast Asia. He has also consulted on moisture failures in apartment, student, and senior living housing totaling over 5,000 units, individual residences, and military housing, including one military subdivision totaling over 1,000 homes. In addition, he has consulted on educational buildings and campuses, including one in the Middle East, totaling over $1B in construction.
Steven Gleason
LBFGSteven Gleason, PE, has over 25 years of experience in construction consulting, including evaluation, design, project management, and expert testimony services related to moisture intrusion and building envelope failures both domestically and internationally. Mr. Gleason provides consulting services related to a wide variety of construction materials and building envelope components, including masonry, concrete, glazing systems, stone, stucco, EIFS, sealants, coatings, roofing andwaterproofing systems. He has consulted on over 500 projects ranging from residences to 70-story high rises.
Richard Scott
Liberty Building Forensics GroupRichard Scott, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, is a senior forensic architect/vice president with Liberty Building Forensics Group. Mr. Scott has more than 35 years of architectural experience and has conducted IAQ, mold, moisture and forensic investigations in more than 300 hotels, resorts, office buildings, and other commercial, residential and institutional buildings. Registered as an architect in four states, he is a regular lecturer on the subject of why buildings have mold and moisture failures, and on how these failures can be prevented. Mr. Scott has written multiple technical articles and papers on moisture control, building envelopes, mold and IAQ, and he has presented for organizations including NCARB, AIA and ASHRAE.
