Lisa Valente

Ms. Valente is the Managing Partner at Makofsky Valente Law Group, P.C., with offices in Garden City, New York. She has been selected to the SuperLawyers Rising Star and the Best Lawyers:Ones to Watch in America lists for the last several years. She was also selected as a recipient of the 17th Assembly District’s “Women of Distinction” Award for 2021. She is a cum laude graduate of Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. She received her B.A. in Politics, Economics and Law with honors from SUNY College at Old Westbury. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Valente worked at the Firm for many years as the senior paralegal. She has extensive substantive and procedural knowledge in matters concerning Elder Law, Medicaid, asset protection planning, estate planning, guardianships, probate, and estate administration. Ms. Valente is a member of the New York State Bar Association (“NYSBA”) and its Elder Law and Special Needs, Trusts and Estates and Young Lawyers.
