His experience includes serving as a stormwater management expert in Land Development Services in Fairfax County Government, Virginia. He has 23 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management plan review, policy making, and code interpretation, etc. Mr. Dhakal has developed and enforced stormwater management objectives related to land development activities through application of the principle and practice of engineering, policy, and research findings. He has reviewed, amended and implemented engineering standards as and when needed. Mr. Dhakal manages all aspects of stormwater management applications including BMPs, innovative practices, floodplains, dam standards, Chesapeake Bay preservation ordinances, MS4s, and TMDLs. He is a Virginia Department of Environmental Quality certified erosion and sediment control combined administrator and stormwater management combined administrator.
