Don Tate

Mr. Tate is the founder of Open World Access, a firm dedicated to accessibility training and adaptive recreation solutions. He previously served as Facilities Construction Director and Accessibility Coordinator for Tennessee State Parks, where he led multimillion-dollar capital projects, developed statewide accessibility guidelines, and advanced programs that expanded access, including the Tennessee State Parks All-Terrain Wheelchair Program and the Accessible Hiking and Mountain Biking Guidelines. Through his work, Mr. Tate helps equip organizations with practical strategies that not only ensure compliance but also promote meaningful inclusion within recreational environments.
