Architect, LEED APMs. Di Giulio is a senior project manager at Zinner Consultants.She has served as a green building project manager there since2008, providing strategy, coordination and direct client support for LEED, CALGreen and various municipal green building programs.Ms. Di Giulio has a track record of successfully interpreting CALGreen and harmonizing its requirements with LEED. She has been a LEED AP since 2006 and is also a Build-It-Green certified green building professional. In her capacity as a Member of the U.S. Green Building Council Los Angeles Chapter, she has served as a volunteer program development consultant. Ms. Di Giulio came to ZC from a varied career in architecture. She designed and managed mixed use/multi-family housing projects for Los Angeles-area firms such as Carde-Ten Architects, Killefer Flammang Architects, and Togawa and Smith (now Togawa Smith Martin). As sole proprietor of Di Giulio Design, she designed and executed residential, retail, restaurant and commercial projects. Prior to that, Ms. Di Giulio worked on institutional projects in Boston and Los Angeles, and worked in Italy for two years on a variety of high-end, contemporary retail installations within centuries-old buildings. This experience led to her special interest in the sustainable reuse of historic structures. Ms. Di Giulio has published several articles on sustainable development including coverage of the first Green Building conference in Brazil (GreenBuild Brasil + Rio 2016, Footprint, 2010). She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from UCLA and a B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she first studied the relationship between land use and ecosystems.
