Carrie Shores Diller

Principal Architect and Co-Founder
Principal at both Inspired ADUs and Larson Shores Architecture and Interiors, Ms. Shores Diller is dedicated to timeless architectural and design excellence rooted in a sense of place and purpose. She is a licensed architect, LEED AP, and Cerr Specialist who received her master’s degree in architecture from UC Berkeley, where she met her business partner Josh Larson. Ms. Shores Diller’s fierce commitment to ADUs and aging in community began when she, herself, faced serious spinal problems. She realized, firsthand, that her home was fighting rather than supporting her. The wisdom gained from her 10-year battle for wellness and personal independence opened her eyes to the environmental needs of the disabled and elderly and informs every Inspired ADU. Ms. Shores Diller is an integral member of Berkeley’s ADU Task Force and the Casita Coalition, helping to educate homeowners and move legislation along. In addition, she works as the Northern California instructor for Kol Peterson and Earth Advantage’s ADU Specialists program. Today Inspired ADUs has built and or designed over 120 ADUs in the Bay Area. Millie, our modular ADU with nine configurations, will be available in late Spring, early Summer of 2022.
