Mr. Schauwecker is a habitat restoration ecologist and landscape contractor with experience in blackland prairies, riparian zones, and coastal uplands. He is a coordinator of the Landscape Contracting and Management degree program in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Mississippi State University. Mr. Schauwecker current research focus is on bioreactor design and management in the Redbud-Catalpa Creek Watershed of central Mississippi, stream buffer design and management, and habitat management planning at the Pharr Mounds Chickasaw burial site in north Mississippi. His current habitat restoration projects include pollinator meadow establishment at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Mississippi plant in Blue Springs, MS and pollinator habitat establishment and management at the Landscape Architecture Facility on the MSU Campus.
