Ponnapa Prakkamakul , ASLA, PLA, LEED AP ND, SITES AP

Ms. Prakkamakul is a Senior Associate Landscape Architect with Sasaki Associates, Inc. She is a landscape architect with public art and design experience focusing on civic and urban space design. With her expertise in community engagement, creative placekeeping, and participatory design, Ms.Prakkamakul explores the role of landscape architect through the eyes of an artist and social activist. She believes a well-designed landscape is not only functional but also socially engaging in a meaningful way and fosters a sense of belonging. Ms. Prakkamakul holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design where she received the Lowthorpe Fellowship Award upon graduation. She has been a guest lecturer on public art and creative play at Massachusetts College of Arts and Design, Montclair State University, University of New Mexico, Louisiana State University, University of Oregon, and Boston Architectural College. Currently, Ms. Prakkamakul is a senior landscape architect at Sasaki. Prior to joining Sasaki, she was a landscape designer at AECOM in Hong Kong, where she worked on various types of landscape urban design projects in Asia.
