Oday Salim

Great Lakes Environmental Law Center, DetroitMr. Salim is the senior attorney at the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Salim obtained his law degree in 2008 from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit and his LL.M. degree in 2009 in Natural Resources and Environment from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. He practiced in Pennsylvania for several years. While there he was staff attorney at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law’s environmental law clinic and senior attorney at Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services. His work has involved policy development, civil litigation, permit appeals, and counseling. Among other things, Mr. Salim has done work on oil and gas, land use and zoning, stormwater management, NPDES and Clean Air Act permitting, and environmental justice. He has also taught energy law and oil & gas law as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh Law School and Lewis & Clark Law School.
