Ms. Alyami has dedicated her career to helping families during difficult times. She is a compassionate and empathetic counselor who cares about the whole well-being of her clients. She is a native to the Bay Area and grew up in Contra Costa County. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in Florida in 2006 and is a life-long fan of the Miami Hurricanes. Ms. Alyami earned her J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in the South Bay. During law school she worked in a family law office in San Jose in addition to clerking for a Family Law Judge in Santa Clara County. She was active in the Black Law Students Association, including serving as secretary and president. Post law school, Ms. Alyami volunteered with the Family Violence Appellate Project, a non-profit organization, in addition to working for a solo family law practitioner. Since passing the Bar Exam she has worked in family law firms, and she has developed and managed pro bono family law “day-of-court” clinics for self-represented litigants in Alameda County.
