Mr. Penney graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1984 with a degree in Civil Engineering and has spent his last 33 years in private consulting working on geotechnical, environmental remediation, civil site design, and landfill projects. He specializes in the interaction of new and existing structures with soil, groundwater, and bedrock. His work assignments and responsibilities have enabled him to be directly involved in many thousands of investigation, evaluation and design projects throughout New England, and he has served as an expert witness on over 20 litigation cases. Mr. Penney is a professional engineer in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, and Maine, and he is a licensed site professional in Massachusetts. He has been with GeoInsight since 1993 and is their director of engineering. In addition to direct senior management of projects and senior peer review, Mr. Penney’s responsibilities include steering GeoInsight’s business activities with a small group of majority shareholders, and working on business development and client management.
