Mr. McCurdy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee-Martin, a Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and a Ph.D. from Auburn University. His current research interests include precision weed control, weed ecology and management, herbicide resistance, and wildlife habitat inclusion within the built environment. Mr. McCurdy teaches and advises students studying turfgrass management and weed science. He is an academic liaison for various professional stakeholder groups and performs outreach through MSU Extension’s Sustainable Home Lawn Management Program, the Deep South Turfgrass Expo, and the MSU Turfgrass Research Field Day.
