Marc Stonier

Director of Design/Structural Engineer in Walker Consultants’ Boston office
Mr. Stonier started his career at Walker Consultants during his Co-op program with Northeastern University. Upon his graduation in 2008, he joined the Walker Team as a structural engineer. Throughout his 11 years with Walker, Mr. Stonier has been involved in the structural design of parking as well as the restoration of structures. As director of design, he is involved in managing and overseeing the production of study, consulting and new design projects. His background in parking consulting, structural design, project management, and engineering services allows him to plan and phase projects accurately, monitor the project progress, and participate in all areas of project development. His recent projects vary in size and complexity from the design of a new 350 space parking structure to master planning and design for 3,000+ spaces on multiple healthcare campuses. Mr. Stonier is also the company’s corporate director of building information modeling (BIM). His knowledge in the application and use of advanced CAD & BIM technologies within the A/E industry is a valuable resource in the evaluation and restoration of existing building structures. He is actively involved in Walker’s efforts to utilize advanced laser surveying equipment to construct precise models and CAD/BIM documentation of existing as-built conditions.
