Laurie Sands

Laurie J. Sands is counsel in Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland Perretti LLP’s Environmental Group and has focused her legal career on environmental law issues. She represents clients in complex environmental litigation, including claims under CERCLA, RCRA, the Water Pollution Control Act and the New Jersey Spill Act. She has negotiated numerous settlements involving clean-up costs for contaminated sites and natural resource damages. Ms. Sands also routinely counsels clients with respect to regulatory compliance and transactions involving contaminated property. Prior to beginning her legal career, she spent six years at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. She is a past chair of the Environmental Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association.
