Stormwater Coordinator, City of CarrolltonMs. Pender has served as the stormwater coordinator for the City of Carrollton, TX since 2007. As stormwater coordinator her primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and manage Carrollton’s Stormwater Management Program per the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s (TCEQ) Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer system (MS4) permit requirements. Ms. Pender also provides inter-departmental training on stormwater-related subjects, including general stormwater education, pollution prevention, construction, illicit discharge detection and elimination (IDDE) and other topics as the need arises. She has earned the designation of advanced certified stormwater inspector through the National Stormwater Center and is also a registered sanitarian and a registered environmental health specialist. Ms. Pender is the past chair for the Regional Stormwater Coordinating Council through North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Public Health from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.
